Newrails is listed in the ESMA register as authorised by Bank of Lithuania since 4 June 2020 — it holds that right as an electronic money institution.

The register lists 25 authorised issuers of e-money and asset-referenced tokens in the EEA, 2 of them based in Lithuania. Newrails issues under its status as an electronic money institution — MiCA reserves e-money tokens to credit institutions and electronic money institutions, and 20 of the issuers hold that same type of licence. The DTI is the ISO 24165 identifier of the token. "EMT_NO_WP" or "EMT_CRIN" in the white paper column mean an authorised issuer that has not issued a token yet, or a credit institution not required to file one.
